“If you want something you’ve never had, you’ve got to do something you’ve never done.
I remember walking down the jet way… that’s when it hit me. “Wholy crap, I’m heading to Japan for study abroad” — yikes. I remember it like it was yesterday. I didn’t have time to think what it all really meant. I was busy with packing, visas, studying the language, trying to use chopsticks… I mean I really was busy!
But… all of a sudden, in a flash… there was nothing left to pack, plan, or even check-in. I was on the jet way getting on the plane. I remember thinking, “what are you doing?”
It was a little late to back out, I mean… my luggage was already checked. haha
But, this was also not the moment to have this mental conversation of “should I really be going to Japan” – however, it was an amazing experience. The first 24 hours upon arriving were a whirlwind! I STILL don’t know how it happened, but at the department store I managed to have three nice sales women layer me in a Kimono… yep. no clue.
Anyway, I guess what I’m saying is… prior to getting on the plane, I really wanted to study in Japan. I wanted to learn the language and I thought my best way was to hop on a plane and “get to it”.
I talk a lot about your Infinity Marketing Machine and how using this new skill set to create a tribe of customers can be quite profitable. The reason is because my system will become a better use of your advetising dollars because you’re turning customers into those that will stick around! You can have success with this, however, it’s new, and as such you’ve got to do something that’s you’ve never done before…
It’s forcing you to take a leap of faith, but the good news is you don’t have to pack! FYI, looking back, there are still days I don’t believe I actually lived in Japan.
