I finally got my hair cut! It’s a very exciting day… I use “hair cut” to disguise the real message which is I finally had the time to get my hair colored. OH yes… that’s much better.
First thing that greeted me as I sat down in front of the mirror was this really neat sign. my stylist had achieved the next level up. Now, I’ll be honest, I had no idea what that meant. I assumed it was a gentle way to let customers know that her rate went up, as this happens when a new level is achieved… but what was neat was the “congratulations” message!
Not only did I notice it, but she did too. Every time she was at work she received a message that she had achieved another level in her skill or tenure.
I devote Monday to Subject Matter Expert topics… but I typically refer to this expertise being shared on line to build your credibility. Well… here’s a great way to do a “real world” Subject Matter Expert announcement.
How can you use this in your retail environment… space on your front counter? Maybe a wall with certifications? There are a number of ways to highlight your accomplishments!
