Here’s the big question of the day… “What did you do today?”
This is one of my favorite questions to ask my staff. At this time of year they arrive at work, tired from their day at school. The look I get is one of, “seriously, are you really asking me that” — then I get the obligatory, “nothing”
I do not accept nothing. There has to be something.
If you go through your day and at the end of it answer “nothing” – well your future is pretty bleak! Our inspiration for today shows us why it’s important to have an answer.
If your future depends on what you do today and you answer that you did “nothing” today – wow… that means your future is based on a foundation of NOTHING!
As we operate under the umbrella of Big Money Small Change, use today’s inspiration as your guide! The small changes all add up to big money. That means today, your small changes affect your big money tomorrow!
Here’s how.
Today, make a decision to get a better price on something you sell. For example, we sell bottle water. The water normally costs $1.50 a bottle. So when we make a decision to go private label and get water for $.65 a bottle that’s an $.85 savings! There’s not a whole bunch you can do with 85 cents — however, when you multiply it by 700 bottles that’s $595 dollars! That is some big money.
But it all starts with a decision today that determines your future!
