Best inspiration heard today! Imagine sitting at Successcon and just waiting to be inspired… and boom… there you get it. My presenter said the inspiration I’m using today.
When you are thinking about your customers, wondering if all of the time you spend on content is paying off… think of the relationship as currency. It’s a little like putting favors in the favor bank… but instead you are providing information. The information pays off in trust. Your customers trust you! The more information you deliver, that they want, with consistency builds trust – like interest on your money in the bank! You gain value!
This is how the Infinity Marketing Machine works… trust makes the customer want to stick around and ultimately buy from you.
Well… the opposite happens too. So when you start to wonder if your content is paying off… maybe it’s not the content but the lack of consistency. I mean, how many relationships do you allow your significant other to “disappear” for days/weeks on end and then welcome them back in your life with open arms. OK if you do… you may need to seek help on another blog! haha — Normally that relationship currency loses value quick!
It seems funny to relate your online audience to a significant other… but look at it from the position of the reader. They’re looking at their phone giving you their devoted attention. (thank you by the way). When you look from their perspective you gain a whole new appreciation, it’s not you talking to an entire group of people, you are actually talking to the entire group, one-on-one!
Make it cozy. Make it personal. Make it a relationship!
