We want goals. We want achievement. And we want success. But on our way to the finish line we need to make sure these three things match up.
Here’s what I mean.
The quote I picked for today shows us that when you pick your success for the day it’s not about the here and now it’s about your future. How cool is that? We get to this time of the year and we think about harvest, we think about celebrating our success, when maybe we should be thinking about next year…
If we apply this idea to our social marketing it’s all about planting seeds. The seeds happen to be blog posts and passion papers you post on your site. Let’s look at passion papers… these are topic sheets you create and post on your website. It doesn’t have to be just words, it can be video, photos, info graphics… whatever happens to be searchable!
Here’s a quick example, I was standing at the store and my phone dinged. I had someone message me a question about how our indoor boat storage worked… I texted a link to him that contained a video of the answer.
HE LOVED IT!
So that video, produced one time, is an infinity information resource. It just sits on my website and attracts the next new person looking to store their boat in our marina. It just sits there until I need to reference it. It’s a fantastic way to plant seeds! (I have about 30 other topics I need to get created for my passion papers)
So here’s the deal… start today and create one. We’ll do this together. Every day we’ll create one. By next week we’ll have 7 passion papers, done, planted, and waiting for people to say… “I love this”
SME + Content/Consistency + Goals/Motivation + Customers = Infinity Marketing Machine
