So you want to make a million dollars. Sounds great, right?
Then why aren’t you willing to make $7? If someone said, go into your garage, find something you no longer use, list it for sale on ebay and you’ll make $7, would you?
Far too often we are willing to over look the $7 in front of us for the dream of the million… there’s a certain part of reality we need to accept. $7 dollars get’s us closer to our dream and leave only $999,993 more dollars to go!
The $999,993 seems overwhelming… but the million doesn’t? The $999,993 seems like work, but the million doesn’t? I think it’s because the million is a dream in our head and the $999,993 is reality.
It’s like the $7 in reverse, we see the work involved in $999,993.
I guess it’s time to stop dreaming of the million and start getting realistic by breaking down your bigger goal.
$1,000,000 is actually making a $25 profit by selling 40,000 of your widget. That may also seem unattainable, but if you look at the population of Minneapolis being 425,000… hummmm this seems realistic. Roughly 10% of the population of Minneapolis needs to purchase your widget at a $25 profit for you to make a million dollars.
Now you just need a widget…
