Start by collecting emails. I know it sounds obvious, but is it? So many small business owners have become distracted with Facebook ads that they forget this basic building block.
Before you even think about running another ad, figure out how you are going to capture the name of someone visiting your site. It will involve a field -but it’s a titch more than that… you need to entice your customer to share their personal information with you! Realize, that you are gaining a privilege by them to send them information.

HA! We’ve been trained not to just give a way our email addresses… that’s why the “join our newsletter” field has slim to no chance of ever collecting an email address.
The better way to collect an email address is to give away something… a fact sheet, a small guide/book, a video with special information. There are lots of items of value you can share with people.
