Today’s quote captures your attention, doesn’t it?!?! Guess what… I’m the one that said it! hahaha
My niece was hanging out and I don’t even remember what the heck she was talking to her mom about – but she all of a sudden said, “I can’t” and without missing a beat… I chimed in, “Congratulations! You’re right!”
She looked at me with that stare you give people when they throw away a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie.
I went on to say, “Your goal was ‘I can’t’ and guess what, you didn’t – that means you are successful at goal! Your goal of not achieving — soooo….. congratulations”
Needless to say, she was not impressed.
Saying “I can’t” is a self fulfilling prophecy. We are all guilty of it… and often we say it without realizing it. But, the next time you catch yourself saying, “I can’t”…. stop and decide if this is the success you’re trying to achieve.
