Tuesday: Content and Consistency

Quote: Don’t turn off your audience with too much information, keep it simple!

BARGAIN:  If you act today you will get three free kittens with the purchase of one puppy if the puppy has three black spots on his tail but only if the third spot is in direct line with the other two, if however it forms a triangle you get two kittens.  If it’s three spots all over his back then you only get one kitten.

Whaaaat?

As we approach this upcoming BFCM celebration – (Black Friday Cyber Monday) – let’s take a moment to pause and discuss too much information.

When crafting an offer, keep it simple.  Your goal is to make it as easy as possible for the customer to say “yes”.

Buy one puppy and get three kittens

Now, I’m not sure who would want three kittens AND a puppy — but someone out there will say yes.

Same goes for theinformation in your posts… it’s hard to hold back information – sometimes it’s easier for your followers.

A “top 10” list might be better as a top three… or top five…

Why?

Well, you want the information consumed.

It’s like this post… do you really want to read a large chunk of text?  I know I don’t!

That’s why I often leave my “paragraphs” at two sentences… max!  And the reason for that is… you’re probably reading on your phone.  It’s easier to scroll versus read read read and ultimately quit.

Therefore, if you have “lots” of information to share, break it up… over a couple days, posts, or even paragraphs.  The goal is to consume the information and the best way to do that is…

Keep it simple!
