Have you ever struggled to find “something” to post about? I’m guessing everyone just said, “yes” – I know I have… and I do.
Quick reminder, the reason we’re writing content and we’re creating it consistently is to successfully transform our customers into a tribe. This happens when they know, like, and trust us.
Last week I went over the purpose of content is to build trust.
And… that’s a great purpose to write content, but I still go to my original question, “have you ever struggled to find ‘something’ to post about? Well… it’s great to understand that we need to post to earn trust it doesn’t make it any easier.
HOWEVER
If we switch our focus to concentrate on our customer, our future tribe… this whole content thing becomes a whole lot easier.
Here’s what I mean.
Focus on what your customer NEEDS. What is “at stake” in their world as it relates to you? If you own a dance studio, topics about dance classes are great, however, reinforcing the decision to get a child involved for socialization, harnessing energy, or reducing screen time, get to the core of what’s at stake for Mom and Dad!
I encourage you to make a list of the reasons people use your product or service and use these action words as the focus of your posts. If you have a solid list of 10 words, you’ll never be at a loss for creating amazing content that will earn the attention of your tribe!
